Context
The FCA has issued a reminder to firms that all Principal Users must ensure that they, and all other firm users, are registered for the new data collection platform (RegData) ahead of a firm’s planned moving date to ensure a smooth transition.
Key points to note
- Firms still using Gabriel should ensure they have registered for RegData.
- The FCA has a step-by-step guide on how to register and has included an instructional video; both resources can be found here: https://www.fca.org.uk/firms/regdata/how-register
- All Gabriel users must register for RegData by logging into Gabriel with their normal login details and completing a one-time activity when prompted.
- Firms’ Principal Users should make sure all other firm users also complete registration as soon as possible.
- All user registration needs to be completed before your firm’s planned moving date, otherwise the Principal User will need to set others up as new users in RegData once the firm has been moved to the new system.
Next actions
- If your firm is unsure whether it has registered or not, the Principal User should login to Gabriel using the usual log in credentials.
- If you are not prompted to register for RegData this confirms you have already completed the registration process.
- If you are prompted to register, you need to follow the necessary steps to complete the registration process by 6pm on the Friday immediately before your moving date.
