Context
RAC Insurance has announced it has set up its own in-house insurance intermediary in a key step towards fulfilling its ambition of exceeding £300m personal lines gross written premiums (GWP) by 2023.
Key points to note
- The first product, RAC Telematics Car Insurance, was launched on 30th March 2021.
- Van and home insurance products will follow in quarter 2 of 2021.
- The head of RAC said “innovation in pricing and data are central to plans”.
- CDL has been appointed as the technology provider.
- Europa Group will be providing policy administration services and an RAC branded contact centre.
