Context
The FCA has released firm-specific complaints data for individual firms and aggregate, or total, data at market-level.
Key points to note
- Financial services firms received 1.88m complaints during the H1 2022 period, an increase from the 1.86m received during H2 2021.
- Insurance and pure protection saw complaints increase from 771,543 in H2 2021 to 801,430 in H1 2022.
- Noticeable increases can be seen from H2 2021 to H2 2022 in general insurance packaged multi products from 9,083 to 23,793; travel from 16,178 to 22,542 and motor and transport from 218,048 to 238,887.
- H2 2022 data is due to be published on 27 April 2023.
