Context
The FCA has announced, again in its most recent Regulatory Round-Up communication and in a new web page, that it is launching a new and improved Handbook website. This is part of our the FCA’s strategy to be a smarter regulator, and firms will be able to use the new Handbook soon – which will make it easier for users to:
Key points to note and next actions
The new Handbook will make it easier for users to:
- navigate and find the information they need;
- understand the connections between our rules; and
- compare different versions of Handbook text to see what’s been added or deleted over time.
Key points in relation to the new Handbook:
- The FCA plans to launch a beta version soon (‘Beta’ meaning that the website is still undergoing testing and improvement).Resources, including how-to guides and FAQs, will be available once it launches.
- The structure and content will remain the same.
- While in beta phase, both Handbook websites will be available so the FCA can make sure everything works as expected. Changes to rules and guidance will be updated as normal.
- The FCA expect to fully roll out the new Handbook website later in th year.
