Context
The FCA has published its Q2 2025 Whistleblowing data, which shows the number of new whistleblowing reports it received between April and June 2025, and the existing reports closed during this period.
Key points to note and next actions
- In this quarter (Q2 2025, April to June), the FCA received 315 new whistleblowing reports. For the same period in 2024 the team received 253 reports. In 2025 Q1 (January to March), we received 281 reports.
- The three main categories of whistleblowing in the quarter were compliance, fitness and propriety, and the culture of the organisation.
- The FCA closed 350 whistleblowing reports between April and June 2025, and it took significant action with firms to manage harm in relation to eight of those reports.
