FCA issues guidance on fee tariff data for general insurance distribution class

Context

  • In order to calculate a firm’s levies for the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) the FCA requires certain data from the firm.
  • The FCA has produced a guidance sheet on the fee tariff data in relation to FSCS class 1 category 1 – General insurance distribution (CLGID-1) (data previously reported for class SB02 – general insurance intermediation).
  • The guidance is intended to help firms complete their fee tariff data submission form correctly.
