Cost benefit analyses (CBA) has been used by the FCA and its predecessor, FSA, since 2001, to help it make sure its rule-making powers are being used to tackle the biggest problems and deliver the greatest benefits in the most proportionate way. The FCA last published its approach to CBA in 2018.
