Context
The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has created a new Enterprise Data Strategy (EDS) that outlines how it will use data to inform and direct its corporate, regulatory and strategic priorities. The draft of this strategy is now published for public consultation.
Key points to note and next actions
The ICO is seeking views from business, the public sector, civil society and interested individuals to help us shape and align its data-driven activity to the challenges and opportunities facing the UK. It wants to understand how data it holds should be made available in the public interest, to help organisations innovate, and to mitigate risk.
The consultation deadline is Tuesday 12 March 2024.
