FOS has published data showing the number of complaints received about individual businesses between 1st January and 30th June 2022
Key points to note
- Almost 73,000 complaints have been received in this period of which 37% were upheld
- The data shows that businesses proactively resolved 4,242 complaints in H1 2022.
- Just under a third of the proactively resolved cases were about fraud and scams.
- The top 5 most complained about products in Q2 2022 were:
- Current accounts – 5,460
- Credit cards – 3,372
- Car or Motorcycle insurance – 2,524
- Hire Purchase (Motor) – 1,751
- Buildings insurance – 1,642
