The FCA has published an update on its operating service metrics for authorisations.
Key points to note
An update document has been published, which provides progress on the FCA’s service standards for authorisations case work, outlining any areas where statutory and voluntary timelines for authorisations are not being met, and setting out the strategy for closing any gaps.
There have been improvements, with 2021/22 showing 8 Green metrics, 5 Amber and 6 Red, whereas in January/February 2023, 12 were Green, 5 were Amber and 2 were Red. The FCA expects to see further improvement and to be substantially meeting its targets by the end of March 2023. Also, improvements have been seen in authorisations related to Approved Persons and Changes in Control.
An accompanying metrics table has been published, which contains the metrics and the FCA’s performance against those metrics
