The FCA has published data showing the number of new whistleblowing reports it received between January and March 2024, as well as existing reports closed during the same quarter. The data shows how the FCA received the report, what the report entailed and the level of action the FCA has taken. The FCA assess every whistleblowing report that it receives that falls within its remit.
Key points to note and next actions
- In Q1 2024 (January to March), the FCA received 298 new whistleblowing reports – an increase of 49 on the previous quarter
- 154 were compliance related
- 108 were related to for culture
- For the same period in 2023 the FCA received 280 reports.
