Context
The FCA has updated its web page relating to Consultation Paper CP23/30, “Diversity and inclusion in the financial sector”, confirming some next steps.
Key points to note and next actions
On 30th October 2023, the FCA held a joint webinar with the PRA to discuss their proposals on diversity and inclusion in the financial sector. View a recording of the webinar. After extensive discussion, the FCA agreed to prioritise proposals that tackle non-financial misconduct such as bullying and harassment.
The FCA intends to publish final rules in early 2025, to be followed by FCA and PRA Policy Statements on the remaining diversity and inclusion proposals later in the year.
