Context
The FCA has published a webpage that describes the changes being made to the Form A in more detail. The FCA intend to make changes to other application forms once their work on Form A is complete.
Key points to note
As a reminder, the changes are:
- A helpful checklist of information needed to complete Form A applications before the start.
- Less duplication in the employment history section – if you are a solo regulated firm, you can input 10 years of employment history instead of uploading a CV
- Improved data validation and pre-population, to help fill the application quicker.
- The Statement of Responsibilities (SOR) is integrated into the Form A, so no requirement to complete a second application for SOR.
- Removal of the send later function.
- Improved help and guidance throughout.
- Easier navigation and an improved layout.
Launch of the new Form A will be in the coming months, and accessible via Connect.
