Link: FCA makes three senior hires | FCA
Context
The FCA has added two senior directors, a finance director and filled a further 95 authorisation roles.
Key points to note
- Laura Dawes will take up one of the new Director of Authorisations roles. Laura is currently interim Director of Strategy, Policy, International and Intelligence in the FCA’s Enforcement and Market Oversight Division.
- Fellow Director of Authorisations will be Dominic Cashman.
- Laura and Dominic will start their new roles in late April and early May.
- Craig Chapman will join the FCA as Finance Director in May.
- The FCA has also recruited 95 new employees within authorisation roles. It has also reformed the authorisation process with more decisions now taken by individual senior managers rather than by committees.
Next actions
Whilst we have included this item for information and awareness, we are hopeful that the appointment of more employees and the operation of a more robust authorisation process will help to clear the backlog the FCA is currently experiencing within its authorisation teams.
