Context
The FCA has updated the Change of Legal status webpage. The webpage informs firms on how notify or apply to the FCA if there are changes to your firm’s legal status.
Key points to note and next actions
Depending on the legal structure of the previous entity and the new entity, firms will either need to submit either a new authorisation application, or a SUP 15 notification.
The FCA has added links to the SUP15 ‘firm notification form’ that should be used for changes in status that require only a notification, rather than an application through FCA Connect.
